Taliban* entered the capital of the northern province of Afghanistan

The Taliban* continues to seize territory in Afghanistan. The militants entered the city of Shiberang in the north of the country. It is the capital of the Jowzjan province.

The Tolo News TV channel reports that there are battles between terrorists and security forces in the village. Militants set fire to the house of Marshal and former Vice President Abdul-Rashid Dostum.

The Afghan Defense Ministry reported that clashes continue both in the city itself and on its outskirts. The servicemen have already managed to eliminate about 40 militants.

The conflict with the Taliban in Afghanistan has been going on for several years. However, in recent months, the situation has deteriorated significantly against the backdrop of the withdrawal of American troops from the country. The militants have taken control of most of the country and continue to attack major cities.
