Washington tries to blame Moscow for new diplomatic crisis – politician

The diplomatic crisis, which the United States clearly does not want to eliminate, is a demonstration by the American side of its lack of desire to lower the degree of confrontation between our countries and an attempt to shift the blame for the current situation onto Russia

Duma Foreign Affairs Committee member Sergei Zheleznyak told when commenting on the incident involving 24 Russian diplomats who were forced to leave the United States.

According to the politician, the diplomatic conflict between the two countries arose because of the anti-Russian attitude of the US authorities, who illegally seized Russian diplomatic property, imposed a whole series of unjustified sanctions against our country and incited aggressive Russophobia in the world community.

“At the same time, the US pretends that Russia provoked the scandal and Washington only responds to unfriendly actions”, –  Zheleznyak stressed.

The expert stressed that this is yet another American lie and an attempt to exacerbate the crisis, which brings great inconvenience to the citizens of our countries. It also prevents the development of bilateral cooperation in important areas announced earlier at the meeting between the leaders of Russia and the United States.

The parliamentarian concluded by adding that it is difficult to predict how this situation will unfold at a time when the US side is clearly unwilling to take effective measures and steps to resolve the pressing issues of concern
