According to TASS, the press service of the Central Military District said that the Mi-8 and Mi-24 attack helicopters of the Russian Air Force were transported from the Novosibirsk region to the Gissar airfield of Tajikistan to participate in the trilateral exercises at the Harb-Maydon training range 20 km from the border with Afghanistan.
“The delivery of four combat vehicles from Russia was carried out by a heavy transport aircraft An-124-100 Ruslan. The press service specified that before transportation, the helicopters were partially disassembled and upon arrival at the destination airfield, the engineering staff assembled the equipment and the pilots circled the vehicles. Exercises of Russia, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan will be held at the Kharb-Maidon training range from August 5 to 10.
