The United States is again trying to blame China for the COVID-19 pandemic. The Republican Party has accused scientists of artificially creating the virus
This has been revealed in a report by the Republican staff of the US commission. It was made in the House of Representatives by a senior member of the party, Michael McCaul.
The document claims that “most of the evidence” indicates that a new type of virus has leaked from laboratories in Wuhan. Meanwhile, Washington has information that they were working on a modified coronavirus to make them more contagious to humans. Funding for this project has come from Chinese government funds and, most interestingly, from the US.
Beijing denies the paranoia of the Americans and points out that much evidence suggests that COVID-19 is of animal origin. McCaul, meanwhile, suggests that the House of Representatives should hold a bipartisan enquiry.
