Russia has reduced the volume of gas pumped into Europe’s largest storage facilities

“Gazprom” has reduced gas pumping into Europe’s underground storage facilities, Interfax reported, citing Gas Infrastructure Europe

It is noted that pumping in the largest gas storages used by Gazprom in Europe – in Austria (Haidach), Germany (Rehden) and the Netherlands (Bergermeer) was reduced. It is noteworthy that usually on weekends, pumping traditionally rises as industrial demand decreases and additional resources are released to channel gas into storage facilities.

At the same time, gas deliveries to Europe through the Yamal-Europe pipeline dropped from 84 million cubic meters (inbound to Germany) the previous few days to 50 million cubic meters on Saturday and 60 million cubic meters (daily basis) on Sunday, according to data from German transit operator Gascade.
