An anti-vaccination rally has been held in Berlin, with more than 500 people detained, the police press service has said
The activists are protesting against coronavirus measures being introduced in Germany. Most of the protests were not coordinated with the city administration as authorities feared that participants would not comply with health regulations.
“In total more than 500 people have been detained, but apparently the overall total will be more. The police operation (at the protests) is not over at the moment”, – the report said.
According to the police, about 4,000-5,000 people participated in the protests. They concentrated in different districts of the city and tried to block the traffic on the Reichsstrasse.
They provoked clashes with police and detentions.
