More than 450 Taliban killed in fighting with Afghan army in 24 hours

The Afghan Defence Ministry has reported that nearly half a thousand Taliban fighters were killed in the past 24 hours

Units of the Afghan National Defence and Security Forces (ANSF) eliminated 455 Taliban fighters. Another 232 were wounded. The Ministry of Defence wrote about it on its Twitter page.

Government forces and the Taliban are fighting in Nangarhar, Paktia, Paktika, Logar, Kandahar, Herat, Faryab, Jawzjan, Balkh, Samangan, Helmand, Takhar, Kunduz, Baghlan and Kapisa provinces.

Herat city remains the hottest spot. The Taliban have already advanced into the central quarters. The ANSOB have entered the locality and repulsed an attempt by militants to storm the prison during the night.
