Turkish police arrest possible arsonist

Law enforcers in Turkey have detained a man who may be responsible for large-scale forest fires in the country

Police in the southwestern province of Mugla have arrested the suspect. It did not disclose his identity, but it is known that he is believed to have come from the northern province of Sakarya.

Two outbreaks of fire were recorded in Mughda on July 29. The fire destroyed 80 hectares of forest. The fire is also burning in Adana, Mersin and Antalya. The most popular resorts in the country are located there.

Antalya remains one of the worst-hit regions. Six victims of the fires have died in this part of Turkey. More than 330 people have also been affected by the fire. Most of them have already been discharged from hospitals.
