The United States and Russia have common interests in the Arctic, a dialogue on security issues in the region is possible in the future, Assistant Undersecretary of State for International Affairs Kelly Seabolt said
According to the US representative, Russia would like to discuss security issues in the Arctic, however, according to her, it will not happen soon.
She stressed that “before that, relations between the countries as a whole would have to improve significantly”.
“But in the long term I would not rule it out”, – the assistant deputy minister said.
