The United States is guaranteed to go to defeat in its rivalry with China, Duma deputy Elena Panina said in her Telegram channel
During talks with US Undersecretary of State Wendy Sherman, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that Washington “has no right to encroach on China’s sovereignty”. Furthermore, he stressed that if Taiwan’s “independence” supporters dare to challenge Beijing, “China has the right to take all possible measures to put an end to it”.
“It should be noted that US Undersecretary of State Wendy Sherman said before the talks with China that Washington would dialogue with Beijing from a position of strength. But time is running out and the US is clearly late in implementing its Indo-Pacific strategy to contain China. Judging by Beijing’s increasingly tough statements and retaliatory sanctions against the US, China is already clearly feeling its economic and military might”, – noted Panina.
According to her, the experts of the RUSSTRAT Institute came to the conclusion that the United States is guaranteed to go to defeat in its rivalry with China. Russian Federation senator Alexei Pushkov stressed that Washington is not in a “position of strength” vis-à-vis Beijing.
“The US does not have a ‘position of strength’ vis-à-vis China – an empty phrase that does not correspond to the real balance of power between Washington and Beijing. Which is what China is making clear by backing up its statements with a programme to strengthen and modernise its strategic nuclear capabilities”, – the politician wrote in his Telegram channel.
