The Ukrainian government has approved a draft agreement on military and technical cooperation with the United States. The issue was discussed at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers
The document refers to research, development, and testing of military-technical projects aimed at providing the Ukrainian Armed Forces with modern equipment and weapons according to NATO standards.
Kiev does not abandon its attempts to get closer to the USA and the North Atlantic alliance. Just recently, the Sea Breeze exercise, in which NATO countries took part, ended. Ukraine is already preparing for a new international exercise to be held in September.
At the same meeting the government adopted a decision that further alienates Ukraine from its neighbouring powers. The Cabinet of Ministers has torn up space agreements signed within the framework of the CIS.
