US tells of next world war

The National Interest magazine published an article by former NATO Supreme Allied Commander Europe Admiral James Stavridis and combat veteran writer Elliot Ackerman, who described the coming world war in 2034

According to the authors, a clash between the US and China in the South China Sea in 2034 could lead to a “global conflagration”. They described such a development in their book “2034: A Novel of the Next World War”.

They drew attention to a recent US Air Force simulation of a military conflict which began with an attack by Chinese biological weapons. This highly classified war-game simulation culminated in Chinese missile strikes against US bases and warships, as well as an air strike and an amphibious landing on the island of Taiwan. It then emerged that in this particular scenario, the US military was likely to “lose quickly”.

Stavridis and Ackerman also believe that drones and autonomous unmanned military vehicles will dominate the battlefield in the near future, and that firefights will take place simultaneously with large-scale hacking attacks on enemy systems.

Now countries continue to build and acquire weapons for traditional warfare, but in the new reality, the US will have to train small groups of special forces that integrate with complexes based on breakthrough biotechnology, the authors of the article summarized.
