Lukashenko thanked Azerbaijan for supplying oil despite Western pressure

The Belarusian leader assured that Baku could count on support from Minsk

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko thanked Azerbaijan for the supply of oil to the republic, despite the opposition of Western countries.

“I express my gratitude for the supply of hydrocarbons to Belarus. You have done a good job, you have not bowed to pressure from the Western states. You have kept your word. You are acting as we have agreed. This is worth a lot in the modern world”, –  BelTA agency quotes Lukashenko as saying on Monday, during a meeting with Azerbaijani Ambassador to Belarus Latif Gandilov.

He assured that Azerbaijan could count on Belarus’ support.

“We are ready to implement the agreements reached during my recent visit to Azerbaijan”, –  the President said.
