Former US Ambassador to Ukraine, Vice President of the US Institute of Peace for Strategic Stability and Security William Taylor said that Washington should continue to supply lethal weapons to Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.
“The Trump administration did provide lethal assistance, in particular anti-tank missiles. The Obama administration didn’t, so let Trump be commended for that. Hopefully the Biden administration will continue this and provide Javelins and other weapons”, – Taylor said during a discussion hosted by the Ukrainian Free University.
He recalled that the United States provides assistance to Ukraine not only in the field of security, but also in the political, economic and diplomatic spheres.
As News Front previously reported, George Kent, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia, said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and White House Chief Joe Biden will discuss security issues, including energy, and reform issues, in particular, justice, during the meeting.
