Afghan Defense Ministry announced the elimination of 175 Taliban*

The Afghan Ministry of Defense said that at least 175 Taliban fighters were killed as a result of combat operations per day*.

“In Afghanistan, the military and security forces have killed at least 175 militants of the radical Taliban over the past 24 hours, and another 84 were injured,” the defense ministry said.

Combat operations were carried out in the provinces of Nangarhar, Paktika, Logar, Ghazni, Kandahar, Herat, Balkh, Jowzjan, Samangan, Sari-Pul, Helmand, Badakhshan, Kunduz and Baghlan. Nine improvised explosive devices planted by militants were found on the roads.

According to US intelligence services, Taliban* militants are stepping up the pace of offensive operations in the republic, which in the future may lead to the establishment of control over most of Afghanistan.
