Turkish military rescues migrants after a boat crash

Thirty-seven illegal migrants were rescued after the crash of the boat carrying them in the Mediterranean Sea, the Turkish Defense Ministry said.

“Rescued 37 illegal migrants in the Mediterranean Sea, 161 miles southwest of the city of Kas, the search for eight more continues,” the Turkish military said in a statement.

It is noted that the frigates of the Turkish Navy Gelibolu and Gokova are participating in the rescue operations.
