The parliament asked the US Congress to continue sanctions against the “Nord Stream-2”

The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada addressed the American legislators with an open letter.

According to TASS, the head of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmitry Razumkov, in an open letter to the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the United States Congress, Nancy Pelosi, asked the US Congress to continue the policy of sanctions that would prevent the completion of Nord Stream-2.

“I appeal to the US Congress to consistently continue the policy of sanctions that would prevent the completion and commissioning of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, if necessary, consider the possibility of introducing additional enhanced sanctions against legal entities and individuals involved in its construction”, – Razumkov writes.

“I call on the US Congress to refrain from approving any agreements that would threaten the energy security of Europe and pose a threat to the national interests of Ukraine and the United States.”
