Russian diplomats discourage US from deploying hypersonic missiles in Europe

Russian diplomats have warned the US not to deploy hypersonic missiles in Europe. They published their warning in social network Twitter

The Russian embassy in the States contacted US Defense Department spokesman John Kirby and said the potential deployment of any hypersonic missiles in European countries would be a destabilising factor. Such munitions fly very fast and leave no time to make a decision. It could lead to an unintended conflict.

Russian diplomats raised the issue after Kirby’s briefing. While speaking to reporters, he spoke about the Zircon missiles recently tested by the frigate Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union, Admiral Gorshkov.
