Several rockets have fallen near the presidential palace in central Kabul. The shelling occurred during prayers for the Muslim Eid al-Fitr holiday, Xinhua news agency reported
According to the agency, the rockets were fired at the presidential palace during Eid al-Fitr prayers. The event was attended by Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and other dignitaries.
It is noted that the rockets missed their target and exploded close to the presidential palace. There have been no reports of casualties or injuries so far. According to 1TV, three explosions were heard near the presidential palace.
