Fire breaks out near French prime minister’s residence in Paris

A fire broke out near the Matignon Palace, the residence of the French prime minister, in Paris.

The fire engulfed the building being renovated on rue Cité Varennes. The residence of the head of government was not damaged.
Fire crews are at the scene of the fire. There is no information about any casualties so far.
According to Twitter, the city fire service said the fire broke out on rue Varennes in the seventh arrondissement of Paris, where the Italian embassy and the Rodin Museum, among others, are located. The telephone number of the embassy is currently unanswered.
