NATO holds China responsible for cyberattack through Microsoft software vulnerability

NATO has held China responsible for a cyber attack through a vulnerability in Microsoft’s Exchange Server software. The North Atlantic Alliance said in a statement released in Brussels on Monday

“We stand in solidarity with all those affected by the recent malicious cyber attacks, including the compromise of the Microsoft Exchange Server. Such malicious cyber activity undermines security, trust and stability in cyberspace. We acknowledge national statements from allies such as Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States that hold the People’s Republic of China responsible for the compromised Microsoft Exchange server”, –  it said.
