Minsk may lean on Russia and China amid new challenges – Belarusian Foreign Ministry

The head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Vladimir Makei stated that the Republic can rely on strategic partners Russia and China against the background of new challenges related primarily to the hybrid war

Vladimir Makei noted that any challenges always bring new opportunities, which must be timely identified and qualitatively used, and in this work Belarus “has someone to rely on.”

At the seminar for the heads of diplomatic missions and consular offices the minister said:
“I mean first of all our strategic partners – Russia, China and other countries, as well as the existing practices on the traditional markets, prepared and developed strategies and plans to build up our presence and develop new markets and niches”.

According to him, new challenges require thoughtful, multi-faceted and forward-looking responses.

“Sharp changes in the foreign political and economic environment over the last year have created new challenges for our country, first of all related to the hybrid warfare”, –  Makei said.

The politician also noted that the financial and economic war unleashed by the West against Belarus requires not only prompt, but well-thought-out multifaceted responses in the long term.
