US tries to shift responsibility for refugees from Afghanistan to Kazakhstan

Bloomberg reported that U.S. authorities have asked Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan to accept refugees from Afghanistan

However, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry denied the information. Diplomats said they had not received a request from Washington to host Afghan nationals who fled their country amid worsening conflict with the Taliban.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not officially received any such requests from the American side”, –  the ministry’s press office said.

The US has been destabilising the situation in Afghanistan for two decades. After their mission failed, US troops fled in disgrace, leaving devastation in their wake. Their claim to be concerned about the refugees is nothing more than an attempt to whitewash their reputation. Moreover, in this way, Washington is shifting responsibility for its actions to others.

Turkmenistan is also concerned about the situation in Afghanistan. The government of the country is strengthening the border to prevent incursions of the militants, who have taken control of almost the whole territory of Afghanistan.
