Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova announced the impending provocations on the day of parliamentary elections

The deputy head of the General Police Commissariat of Moldova, Marin Maksian, said that on the day of elections to the parliament of the republic, which will be held on July 11, provocations may be at the polling stations open to residents of Transnistria.

“We have data on the preparation of provocations on the day of voting, which are behind the election participants […] They are planned in the dividing security zone along the Dniester in order to prevent the expression of the will of Moldovan citizens from the left bank of the Dniester”, – Maxian said during the briefing.

He noted that all law enforcement agencies were informed about the upcoming provocations, documenting and data collection continues. Maxian stressed that the police will promptly block such violations.

Recall that during the presidential elections in Moldova, which took place in 2020, clashes occurred at the polling stations for residents of Transnistria, provoked by pro-Western politicians who organized rallies. In addition, they blocked transport from the left bank of the Dniester, accusing their opponents of organizing the delivery of voters.
