The Chinese Foreign Ministry has responded to a call from Paris not to recognize the vaccines that have been developed in Russia and China.
Department spokesman Wang Wenbin said that during a pandemic, issues on the solution of which human lives depend on should not be politicized.
“We are strongly opposed to the politicization of vaccine issues. These issues should not become the object of political interference, all the more they should not be used for the purpose of political fabrications”, – he said.
Clement Bon, Secretary of State at the French Foreign Ministry, spoke out against licensing of Russian and Chinese-made drugs. He appealed to the countries of the European Union and urged them not to recognize vaccines.
Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev drew attention to the fact that such a position of the authorities contradicts the interests of the French themselves. No vaccines or drugs for serious diseases should be tied to the state that created them. Medicines that save people must be available in every country.
