Czech Republic plans to get rid of AstraZeneca vaccine

Czech Health Minister Adam Vojtech has said Prague will not accept any coronavirus vaccines from British-Swedish company AstraZeneca in July, EurAsia Daily reports

“We would very much like to donate vaccines to some other countries. The Czech Republic now has enough AstraZeneca product to administer second doses and is not counting on further supplies”, –  the minister said.

According to the Czech Ministry of Health, Prague should receive around 1.7 million doses of vaccine against coronavirus in July: the vast majority are from Pfizer and BioNTech. In addition, about 250,000 doses of vaccines from the US company Moderna and about 70,000 doses from Johnson & Johnson are to be delivered to the Czech Republic.
