According to Argentina’s Ministry of Health, the most common adverse reaction to the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine is headache and slight fever, which have been reported in 0.5% of those vaccinated
“Per 100,000 doses administered, there are about 548.73 cases of adverse reactions caused by Sputnik V vaccination. A total of 6,964,344 doses of the Russian vaccine have been used”, – the Health Ministry report said.
According to Argentine statistics, 15,278 cases of headache, muscle and joint pain and 14,397 cases of fever with headache and muscle and joint pain were identified.
“Cases of serious adverse events requiring hospitalisation are extremely rare (only 0.0027% of cases)”, – said the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
The Sputnik V vaccine was developed by the Gamaleya Research and Education Centre and was the world’s first registered vaccine for the prevention of coronavirus infection. The vaccine is based on a well-studied adenovirus platform ensuring high efficacy and safety.
