Raw material for Sputnik V production is on its way to Belgrade

A major shipment of substances for the production of the Russian vaccine against Sputnik V coronavirus is to arrive in Serbia today

According to Balkanist, the consignment is designed for production of more than 250 thousand doses of the first vaccine component, while in ten days the substance for the second component is to arrive in the country.

Eighteen samples from each batch will be sent to the Russian Gamaleya Institute for tests, after which the vaccine made in Serbia will be approved for realization.

According to earlier agreements between Moscow and Belgrade, four million doses of the vaccine will be produced in Serbia in the initial phase alone.
