The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak discusses with the U.S. State Department the participation of Washington in the negotiations on Donbass
This was stated by a spokesman for the Kiev delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group, Oleksiy Arestovich. According to him, Yermak is communicating with Undersecretary of State Victoria Nuland.
“The US is a member of the OSCE, they have the right to enter this format. Rather, the question is this: will there be an agreement in principle of this nature. Now there are intensive consultations between President Zelensky’s political adviser Andriy Yermak, who is also the head of the Office, and Victoria Nuland, who has been appointed in the USA as the chief official on Ukraine and conflict settlement with the Russian Federation”, – he said.
Arestovych said that there were talks at the level of political advisers. It will be possible to talk about something specific only after a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Joe Biden.
