The White House should not forget what is happening in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of US forces from the country, Lieutenant General Austin Scott Miller, commander of US and NATO forces in the country, said in an interview with ABC television
“I wouldn’t want us to turn our backs on that. The US has learned lessons for itself in Afghanistan. They have not all been positive, but there have been victories”, – Miller said.
In his opinion, after the withdrawal of the American military personnel from Afghanistan, the situation may become similar to that in Iraq: the influence of the terrorist group Islamic State (banned in the Russian Federation) may spread in the country.
