Russian aviation conducted combat training flights over the Black Sea

The exercises of the naval aviation of the Black Sea Fleet, together with the aviation of the Southern Military District, took place against the backdrop of NATO maneuvers. More than 10 aircraft were involved in them.

As the press service of the Black Sea Fleet told reporters on Saturday, the naval aviation of the Black Sea Fleet, together with the aviation of the Southern Military District (Southern Military District), against the backdrop of exercises by NATO and the partner countries of the Sea Breeze – 2021 alliance, conducted combat training flights over the Black Sea.

“The crews of the naval aviation and air defense aircraft of the Black Sea Fleet, together with the aviation of the Southern Military District, conducted training flights over the water area of ​​the Black Sea, practicing the tasks of delivering missile and bomb strikes against the ships of the imaginary enemy. From the naval aviation of the Black Sea Fleet, multipurpose fighters Su-30SM and front-line bombers Su-24M were involved, from the aviation of the Southern Military District – fighter-bombers Su-34 and fighter-interceptors Su-27”, – said in a statement, quoted by TASS.

As part of the aviation exercises, the crew of the Be-12 amphibious aircraft carried out reconnaissance of targets in the Black Sea. The role of the detachment of the imaginary enemy ships was performed by the large landing ships “Saratov” and “Orsk”.

More than 10 aircraft were involved in the exercise. When practicing the destruction of targets, individually and in pairs, the crews made an approach to the combat course. Conditional missile and bomb strikes were worked out. In addition, the military pilots performed simple and complex flight missions from medium and low altitudes, taking into account the overcoming of the air defense means of the imaginary enemy ships.
