China’s president pointed out that the Chinese people are not afraid of violence and have a strong sense of national pride and confidence
The Chinese people will “break the head” of any outside forces that try to enslave them. Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chinese President, said this at a ceremony marking the 100th anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Thursday.
“The Chinese people stand for justice, they are not afraid of violence, our nation has a strong sense of national pride and confidence. The Chinese people have never humiliated, oppressed or enslaved other nations. This has not happened in the past, does not exist now and never will”, – he said.
“At the same time, the Chinese people do not accept attempts by outside forces to trample, oppress and enslave them. Those who try to do so will encounter an iron wall of flesh and blood of China’s 1.4 billion people and will break their heads”, – the head of state said.
The CCP was founded during the height of the revolutionary movement based on the ideas of Marxism-Leninism and its first congress was held illegally from July 23 to August 5, 1921. It began in Shanghai and ended at Nanhu Lake near Jiaxing (eastern Zhejiang province), where participants were forced to move after the authorities learned of the event. Thirteen people attended that key meeting, including the future Chinese leader Mao Zedong (1893-1976) and two foreign representatives of the Comintern. The delegates then decided on the official name of the party and adopted its first programme.
