The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is once again trying to exacerbate relations with Russia. The head of the department, Dmitry Kuleba, said that Moscow is striving for an armed escalation in the Black Sea.
He argues that Russia is responsible for escalating the situation. Allegedly, it is she “who commits provocations against NATO members”. Kuleba refuses to accept the fact that a foreign military vessel violated the borders of the Russian Federation and the military reacted more than mildly.
At the same time, according to the diplomat, Russia “will not dare to a full-scale conflict.” Kuleba naively believes that the Russian Federation would not be able to withstand foreign troops. Russia really does not want a full-fledged war. However, this happens not because it is unable to resist the enemy, but because it is a peaceful power that prefers to resolve any conflict through dialogue. In the event of a military threat, she will repel any attack, but she will never attack first.
Moreover, on a weak opponent.
The incident with the British destroyer took place on 23 June. Defender violated the borders of the Russian Federation near the Crimea. The Black Sea Fleet and border guards asked the crew to leave their territory. However, the ship did this only after the plane had to fire a rocket in the direction of its movement.
Britain denies that it tried to undertake a provocation. London claims it did not violate Russian borders, but simply passed through Ukrainian waters. During the direct line, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted that this position shows disrespect for the Crimeans, who independently decided to return to Russia.
