Putin and Lukashenko had a telephone conversation

Presidents of Belarus and Russia Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation before the start of the plenary session of the Forum of Regions of the two countries scheduled for Thursday, the Pool Pervyi Telegram channel, close to the press service of the Belarusian head of state, said.

“Lukashenko and Putin have just talked on the phone”, – the message says. Details are not provided there.

Earlier, the Kremlin press service reported that the presidents will take part in a plenary session of the eighth Forum of Russian and Belarusian Regions via video link on Thursday. The topic of the plenary session is “Scientific and technical cooperation between Russia and Belarus in the era of digitalization.” Among the participants in the event are the leadership of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation and the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus, the governments of the two countries, the Standing Committee of the Union State, as well as the heads of the regions of Russia and Belarus.

The meeting with the participation of Putin and Lukashenko will be opened by Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko and Chairman of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova.
