Warm meeting between Putin and Xi showed strength to all Western “partners” of Moscow and Beijing

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping held an online conversation on the eve of the 20th anniversary of the Treaty on Good Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation between the Russian Federation and China, writes FAN.

The treaty on good-neighborliness, friendship and cooperation between Russia and China was signed on July 16, 2001. According to experts, the real purpose of the conversation between the Russian and Chinese leaders, which took place on June 28, could be a demonstration of force to all Western “partners” of Moscow and Beijing, which are primarily the United States and Britain.

The publication notes that the American and British armed forces are currently openly drawn to the borders of Russia and China. This is evidenced not only by the large-scale exercises Sea Breeze – 2021 in the Black Sea, but also by the statements of scientists from the University of Washington about successful experiments with the creation of new mechanisms of infection in a modified strain of coronavirus.

Earlier it became known that Russia and China have extended the validity of the Neighborliness Treaty until 2027, and also adopted a Joint Statement for the twentieth anniversary of its signing. The author of the material in FAN also notes that both in the conversation and in the statement of the leaders of Russia and China, the absence of significant systemic contradictions that could negatively affect bilateral cooperation is emphasized, which is very different from the situation inside the West.

“Russia is interested in a stable and prosperous China, and China is interested in a strong and successful Russia. […] With the strengthening of global turbulence, the urgency of Russian-Chinese strategic interaction is growing”, – the text of the document says.
