Political scientist Corneliu Churea noted that the West eliminates unwanted elites and promotes its “favorites” not only in Moldova and Ukraine, but also in Georgia and Armenia, writes EurAsia Daily.
“This is a unified strategy, it began with Mikhail Saakashvili (ex-president of Georgia). Naturally, each country has a certain specificity, but, of course, it brings us closer to Ukraine, because this move is elections, victory in the presidential elections (in this case, Ukraine), and then early parliamentary elections as soon as possible, on the wave of the president’s rating is, of course, a trick”, – said the expert on the Primul în Moldova channel.
In his opinion, a similar situation has developed in Armenia. Churya noted that the West in all the countries of the Eastern Partnership eliminates the elites that do not suit it and promotes its “favorites”, which should bring political and geopolitical victory.
“We have already come to the conclusion that in the diaspora, first of all, they vote against the left, and so far all these political technologies that have been used recently by the West have promoted Maia Sandu as the only alternative pole to the left. That is, they basically have no other choice but to vote for Maia Sandu, although they do not know this politician well”, – the political scientist summed up.
Recall that the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, is a pro-Western politician, promotes the strengthening of cooperation with the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance and advocates the withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from the territory of Transnistria. According to political observer Ilya Kiselev, Sandu’s policies are entirely dictated by the West.
