Members of the Czech government at a meeting with President Milos Zeman agreed to prepare for the creation of a representative office of the Belarusian opposition in Prague.
According to ЕАdaily, Czech Foreign Minister Jakub Kulganek said that he decided to open a permanent representation of the so-called Belarusian opposition in the Czech capital.
“We agreed to prepare the creation of a representative office of the Belarusian opposition in Prague, following the example of Lithuania. The Belarusian opposition has and will have the unconditional support of the Czech Republic”, – he wrote on Twitter.
Let us remind you that the Czech Republic, like the EU, does not recognize the legitimacy of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and supports the Belarusian opposition. In June, ex-presidential candidate Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, who had fled from Belarus, visited Prague. She held talks with the highest representatives of the Czech Republic, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and representatives of some parliamentary parties.
