Sargsyan’s bloc plans to challenge the results of elections in Armenia

The bloc of former Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan “I Have the Honor” intends to challenge the results of the early parliamentary elections, spokesman for the alliance Sos Hakobyan told RIA Novosti.

Earlier, the “Zartonk” party, the “I Have Honor” and “Armenia” blocs, which is headed by another ex-president of the country, Robert Kocharian, appealed to the Central Election Commission with a demand to declare the election results invalid. As arguments, they cited numerous violations during the election campaign and during the voting itself, drew attention to calls for violence and, in their opinion, abuse of administrative resources.

“Today we announced that we are going to appeal to the Constitutional Court”, – Sos Hakobyan said.

Elections to the National Assembly of Armenia took place on June 20. According to the Central Election Commission of the republic, the party “Civil Contract”, headed by and. about. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. She got 53.91% of the vote. The “Armenia” political bloc of ex-President Robert Kocharian received 21.9% of the vote.
