Trump accused Biden of “allowing” the construction of Nord Stream-2

Former US President Donald Trump has accused his successor Joe Biden of supporting the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.

At a rally in Ohio on June 26, he said that he had managed to “stop the project”, and the current head of state “allowed” it.

“Biden will bring our economy to a collapse. He canceled the American Keystone XL pipeline and its 48,000 jobs for American workers, but he approved a Russian pipeline to Europe”, – Trump said.

He mentioned that he had imposed sanctions on Nord Stream-2, and now his efforts have gone to waste.

In addition, Trump is unhappy with the position taken by German Chancellor Angela Merkel. According to him, she uses the USA, which protects her:

“I said, ‘Angela, we are protecting you from the country to which you give billions. How does it work, Angela?” She just smiled. She knows!”.

Recently, the candidate for Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany and the chairman of the Christian Democratic Union, Armin Laschet, discussed the construction of the gas pipeline. He spoke about the conditions for stopping the project.
