The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) said that Iran has started manufacturing a Russian vaccine against Sputnik V coronavirus
“RDIF and Actoverco, one of Iran’s leading pharmaceutical companies, announce the production of a test batch of Russian vaccine against Sputnik V coronavirus in the country. Iran has become the first state in the Middle East region to produce the Sputnik V vaccine. The vaccine produced in Iran will be used to execute the national vaccination programme in Iran”, – the RDIF said in a statement.
Satellite V is based on a well-studied adenovirus platform that ensures high efficacy and safety. Sputnik V is currently registered in 67 countries with a total population of over 3.5 billion people. As previously reported by News Front, a single-component vaccine, Sputnik Light, has entered civilian circulation.
