German MP: Berlin and Moscow owe nothing to Kiev for launching Nord Stream 2

Germany or Russia are not obliged to pay compensation to Ukraine for the launch of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline

Bundestag deputy from the party “Alternative for Germany” Tino Krupalla called the idea madness. If the RF does not use the routes for deliveries, then it is not obliged to pay transit fees.

“The fact that a country that no longer provides transit should be compensated, I consider it a real madness … And I can’t imagine anything like that, so that Russia could or should have paid them”, – Krupalla said.

The issue of support for Kiev was discussed by representatives of the United States and Germany. Berlin announced its desire to hold talks with Moscow in order to extend the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine. The West wants to “reduce the geopolitical benefits for the Russian Federation”, one German officials opposed the pressure on Russia.
