European Union (EU) representative Günther Oettinger, who formerly served as European Commissioner for Energy, played a “special” role in the negotiations between the Ukrainians and representatives of the Russian company Gazprom on gas supplies in 2014
This was revealed by Olena Zerkal. At the time, she was working as deputy foreign minister. As it turned out, Oettinger tried to get his point across by throwing a chancellery at members of the two delegations.
“During the negotiations, he used to throw pencils either at us or at the Russians… I even have such a beautiful photo from the negotiations”, – Zerkal said.
One can only be glad that the EU representative did not follow the example of primates and did not throw other things at the negotiators.
