The U.S. administration is calling on Iranian authorities to immediately engage with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to maintain Tehran’s nuclear monitoring regime
A State Department spokesman said on Friday.
“Iran should engage with the IAEA without further delay to ensure that appropriate measures are maintained so that the continuity of IAEA competence in monitoring the JCPOA can be restored immediately”, – the US diplomat said.
The JCPOA is the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action that was signed with Iran in 2015 to resolve the crisis over its nuclear developments by the permanent five of the UN Security Council and Germany.
