Trump says Beijing destroyed evidence of coronavirus spread from lab

The former US president has revealed that he was convinced from the beginning that it was from a Chinese laboratory that the infection began to spread

The former American leader spoke in an interview with Fox News television reporters, excerpts of which were published on Wednesday, saying that Chinese authorities had already destroyed alleged evidence of the spread of a new coronavirus from a laboratory in Wuhan. As the Republican assured, he was initially convinced that the new coronavirus had started spreading from a Chinese laboratory.

“It seemed quite obvious to me. I have been stating this for a long time. I believe it was probably an accident. There are those who believe it was not an accident”, –  said the former president.

Asked if he thought a trial to find out the origins of the virus would be successful, Trump replied:

“I don’t think so, because China has probably already gotten rid of a lot of the evidence. It’s very late now. As I believe the evidence has been seriously damaged”, –  the former US president added.

Now, the Republican believes that the version of the virus spreading from a Chinese laboratory is gaining traction in the US.

“It seemed to be going away, and now it’s a major topic in America and probably around the world”, – he said. – “The fact of the matter is that the whole world has been terribly damaged. We need to get to the bottom of this. Ideally we should make China pay.”
