The United States of America is preparing to hold the next joint military exercises on the territory of Ukraine. We are talking about Sea Breeze – 2021.
The maneuvers will start next week. They will take place in the Black Sea water area and on the territory of Nikolaev, Odessa and Kherson regions. The US will be represented in the exercise by the 6th Fleet of the Navy. The Sea Breeze will be attended by the Ukrainian military, as well as 29 NATO and partner countries.
The organizers of the exercises called them the main goal of strengthening the compatibility of the forces of Kiev and foreign powers. In addition, the maneuvers are aimed at enhancing security in the region.
Sea Breeze has been held on Ukrainian territory since 1997. They are based on the Memorandum of Understanding and
Cooperation on Defense and Military Relations between the defense departments of the United States and Ukraine. The two countries are considered the main organizers of the maneuvers.
