Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Simonyte promised that the government would assess the possible negative impact of the EU anti-Belarusian sanctions on Lithuanian enterprises.
She also did not rule out that the government will provide assistance to those Lithuanian enterprises that suffer losses in connection with the introduction of sanctions against Belarus.
“First of all, you need to know the losses very accurately, and this very much depends on the modality of decisions. So far I can only comment in this way, but the government will definitely assess this influence. And how much government assistance is needed, say, infrastructure or other matters, so much of it will be”, – said Simonyte.
At the same time, the Prime Minister stressed that Vilnius, despite all the negative consequences for Lithuania, the possibility of which the authorities recognize, will seek the most stringent anti-Belarusian sanctions.
“And even if not just one, but the whole range of activities is chosen through which the regime (Lukashenko – EADaily) receives the income necessary to preserve its structures that contribute to the persecution of people, Lithuania will support such sanctions”, – the Prime Minister told the reporters.
