Results of parliamentary elections announced in Armenia

Pashinyan’s party wins the parliamentary elections, but does not get less than a percent to form a government. The Central Election Commission of Armenia on Monday morning, June 21, announced the results of the parliamentary elections after counting 100% of the votes.

Thus, Nikol Pashinyan’s party, Civil Contract, gains 53.92%, Robert Kocharyan’s Alliance Armenia Bloc – 21.04%, I have the Honor Bloc – 5.23%

These three parties will go to the next parliament.

At the same time, Pashinyan’s party did not get 0.08% of the vote to form a government.

1 million 281 thousand 911 people voted in the elections – 49.4% of voters.

As you know, a total of 25 parties and blocs took part in the elections. To get into parliament, a party needs to get at least 5% of the vote, and a bloc – 7%. 2.5 million people had the right to vote.

Recall that on May 11, the parliament was dissolved in Armenia and early elections were called after Pashinyan’s resignation from the post of prime minister.
