The third batch of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine has been delivered to Moldova, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has said
“On June 19, the third batch of Russian Sputnik V vaccine was delivered to Moldova in an amount of 30,000 doses, of which 10,000 doses were for Transnistria. The first and second batches of 71,000 doses each were delivered to Chisinau airport on April 24 and 30 respectively,” according to the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
A total of 172,000 doses of Russian vaccine against coronavirus infection Sputnik V have been sent to Moldova. The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that Moscow confirms its readiness to continue assisting Moldova in counteracting the coronavirus.
The Sputnik V vaccine was developed by the Gamaleya Research and Development Centre and was the world’s first registered vaccine against a new coronavirus infection. It is based on a well-studied adenovirus platform providing high efficacy and safety.
