More than 50 Republicans in the US Congress have written to White House chief Joe Biden asking him to remove Vice President Kamala Harris from fighting the border migration crisis
“The vice president has yet to visit the border. You can’t really know the situation if you don’t talk to people on the ground. I and 55 of my colleagues have sent this letter to the president demanding her removal from this position”, – US House of Representatives Republican member Glenn Grothman wrote on Twitter.
The document also cited figures that show an increase in the influx of migrants at the border. In addition, the politicians stressed that the migrant problem is not just in Central America.
“At the time of the appointment, you said, ‘I can’t think of anyone better suited to this’. We don’t agree. This country cannot allow inaction on the part of Vice President Harris. While you have publicly defended the vice president, even you must be unhappy with her inaction”, – the letter writers said.
