The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will allocate $ 67 million to Georgia for reforms within the framework of a grant agreement, EurAsia Daily reports
“To increase resistance to external harmful influences, 14.5 million dollars are envisaged, which in the coming years may grow to 79.4 million dollars. To strengthen citizen-accountable governance, $ 25.9 million has been allocated to strengthen democratic gains, including rule of law, democratic governance, political competition, civil society, basic education and social services”, – said Georgian Deputy Finance Minister Giorgi Kakauridze.
In addition, $ 26.6 million has been earmarked to create inclusive, high-paying and quality job opportunities as a result of economic growth. Kakauridze added that the size of the grant may increase to $ 330.5 million.
